What can I expect at a worship service? Services are usually one hour in length. We typically begin by singing hymns, listening to readings from the Bible, and then a central message or 'sermon'. During service we take the time to greet each other (“share the peace”), pray for our community and for the world and then have communion (bread and wine) together. After the service, stick around for coffee or tea, a hearty breakfast and good conversation during coffee time.

Do I have to be Christian to attend?Absolutely not. Whether you’re of a different religious tradition, none at all or are just beginning to learn about the Christian faith – you’re welcome here. God made you, so come exactly as you are. We’re a diverse group at Christ Lutheran, and we believe that everyone has something to offer.
Christ welcomes all people to full participation in the life of this community regardless of gender, race, ancestry, ethnic origin, citizenship, age, record of offences, marital status, sexual orientation, economic status, family status, or disability. |
I’m not familiar with church or Lutheran liturgy … is there someone who can answer any questions I have or help me follow the service?
